I hope this letter finds you doing well. I have had it in my heart to write to you for some time, but was waiting for the right words. I know that you have been having a difficult time of late and I wanted to let you know that I have been praying for you. Since you were born, God has had a special plan for your life and sometimes it is difficult for us to know or to understand just what that plan is, especially when difficult times come. Each of us are given special talents help see us through and to help others. I know that sometimes, though, when we feel like we are at the deepest, we don’t always recognize what that talent is or we lose sight of that talent. But I am here to to tell you, Shelly, that you will see it and know it again. I have found that when I am at my lowest, if I just look back and remember what made me happy and, if I can I find a way back to a moment like that, then I can find my way out of the darkness.
And Shelly, I am here to tell you that God is with you. He never leaves you. You may not recognize him right now, but he is there with you. He never leaves us. We may get angry and step away from him, but he is always there. He can handle our anger; our resentment. He is our creator and he knows exactly how to handle our moods. If we will just trust him and reach out for his hand, he will walk with us through any challenge we go through. He wants to be there with us. He loves us no matter how angry we may get. And just like our earthly father, he will forgive us when we say things or do things we do not mean to do or say.
It is my prayer, Shelly that this time will quickly pass. I am praying for you, as are many others who love you. You are a child of God. May his love enfold you and bless you.
